As a self-taught artist, Albrecht Imanuel Schnabel began working with the medium of photography in the late 1970s. Born in southern Germany in 1963, he studied German language and literature at the University of Stuttgart. At a young age he was already interested in painting, photography, eastern martial arts and eastern philosophy.
